1. Something that is very near and dear to my heart is… my mom. I am blessed to have a fantastic mom!

2. Mother Effing Friday is good cause to celebrate .

3. The most fun I ever had was probably with Lacey.

4. True friends are the ones that you can go for months/year without seeing or connecting with and when you finally do… it’s like no time ever passed.

5. Something that makes me terribly happy is My kiddo’s ridiculously happy and goofy laugh.

6. A good way to spend a sunny day is at the fountains watching mine and all the other kiddos be equally terrified of the cold water and exhilarated by it at the same time.

7. My favorite celebratory food is Cake. Mmmmm cake.

I woke up this morning feeling rather sassy. Even though Oz was up at 5:30… at least he woke up happy and jabbering. Sometimes he is just a shit in the mornings, nothing making him happy for 15-20 mins. I took advantage of the early morning and made a lasagna for dinner tonight and stuck it in the fridge for later while the kiddo watched some cCokie monster. Yep… I cooked dinner before 6am. Now I’ll be thinking about it all damn day.

Yesterday I ate a late breakfast and was never really hungry for lunch. I popped into Macy’s instead. I NEVER shop at Macy’s. I hate the layout of the store, service sucks, and for most of the prices I’d rather go across the street to Nordstrom. I am not sure why I went in. I wasn’t looking for anything in particular, mostly just browsing the clearance racks. Well I am glad I did because I score this dress for less than $30! It was originally $140. I LOVE it. It’s difficult to find dresses with sleeves (that are not cap sleeves). I hate my arms and so this dress is perfect. I decided to be brave and go sans pantyhose which is out of my comfort zone,but it’s going to be 75 today and I would have been roasting.

It’s a size too big for my liking so a belt is necessary to give it some shape. I didn’t get a shot of the back but it has a wide black/copper zipper down it. Swoon. The whole dress has a very vintage feel. I am finally feeling not so sore and so I picked some chunky heels. Sassy Wednesday for me!

Well back to work… the week is almost half over!

What store do you normally avoid like the plague?
